Amanda Toronto MSC, LPC, has over 8 years' experience in private practice counseling, and over 15 years' experience working with teens and children with behavioral and emotional concerns. She loves to work with individuals of all ages, couples, and families from a holistic, strengths-based approach. She approaches her work in counseling with an unwavering belief in people.
Amanda is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), and a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) working with individuals, couples, and families in the Castle Rock Colorado area. She received her undergraduate degree in psychology from Brigham Young University Hawaii, and her graduate degree in counseling psychology with an emphasis in clinical counseling from University of Phoenix in Salt Lake City, Utah (CACREP accredited). She has several certificates and additional trainings including: Gottman approach to couples counseling level 1, EMDR, eating disorder treatment, and play therapy.
Andrea loves living in Colorado and spending time in nature skiing, running, hiking and biking with her friends and family.

She has spent the last 14 years teaching developmental psychology at the college and university level and has a Master's degree in education and is getting a second Master's degree in clinical mental health counseling at Adams State University in Colorado.
Andrea specializes in working with a variety of different clients, including individual adults, teens, and adolescents and people of all backgrounds who are struggling with mental health issues and addiction/substance abuse. She utilizes several modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, emotionally focused therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy.
